vISITING OUR FARM
On our farm, we provide lots of opportunities and organized activities for sensory learning, including planting in the soil, sand and water play, stroking and grooming the animals, tasting the different fruits and vegetables that we grow and lots of open space to explore or to take respite in when a child needs some time out.
We also understand that sometimes children and adults diagnosed with Autism and other related disabilities may have sensory challenges, phobias, inappropriate behaviors and safety concerns which may make having a farm adventure a bit harder than just your average walk in the park. Visits were designed for a group’s specific needs designed so that individuals could choose the extent to which they participated in activities and were able to experience them at their own pace. Farrier at WOrkDo cows also need their hooves trimmed? Why do horses need shoes? Come talk to our farrier and ask some questions while you watch him and his apprentice hard at work taking care of our hooved farm animals.

SHearing TimeRocky is good sport when it comes time for shearing. We think he knows that he will be much more cool in the summer heat while his wooly coat keeps him toasty warm in the winter even here in Central California..
