MEET OUR WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS

Picture

Mellisa Anne Caudillo

My name is Mellisa and I discovered my love for animals at just 4 years old when I adopted my first cat. Ever since then I have surrounded myself with animals by not only having my own as pets but also volunteering at different shelters from cats at ASAP cat shelter in Santa Barbara to horses at Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center. I have been working with children of all ages for over 10 years by babysitting, nannying and offering childcare during events. During the pandemic I started working on ranches to learn about and care for other types of animals . I learned how to properly  care for and exercise horses, cattle , donkeys , sheep, chickens , and even rabbits. I also learned how to milk cows and give medical attention when necessary.

Amy Aldinger

My name is Amy and I am an animal lover and paramedic.  As a graduate from Cal Poly in Agriculture and Soil Science, I worked as an environmental scientist  before  pursuing my dream job as a Firefighter.  Working as a firefighter I realized I have a passion for helping people in situations that most would avoid! Being a first responder has changed my life and opened my eyes to how life can change in a blink of an eye. I have learned to value life, the people close to me and not to take life for granted.  My family is the most important part of my life and I am blessed to have 5 older siblings and many nieces and nephews. I absolutely love children and educating them in all aspects of life. I am looking forward to bringing my unique experience and my passion of helping people to the farm.
